Your primary responsibilities will include providing dynamic financial planning, performing investment appraisals, and complex financial analysis of Trust development proposals and business cases. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for financial savings and highlighting areas of risk.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have advanced technical and personal skills, as well as experience in a Commercial organization. You will also need to have a strong understanding of NHS accounting and reporting issues and the application of these within a Trust like CUH.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist the Head of Finance with input to the strategic planning agenda for their area of responsibility
* Provide dynamic financial planning that reflects uncertainties and can be updated and adjusted as circumstances evolve
* Perform investment appraisals and complex financial analysis of Trust development proposals and business cases
* Identify opportunities for financial savings and highlight areas of risk

**Requirements:**

* Completion of, or actively studying towards, a Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies (CCAB) recognised accountancy qualification, or equivalent experience
* Advanced technical and personal skills and competencies acquired from experience across a range of accountancy functions at a senior level
* Experience of staff performance management, including undertaking appraisals and setting objectives
* Experience in a Commercial organization
* Experience of budget setting software
* Post-qualification experience in a Financial Management role
* An understanding of NHS accounting and reporting issues and the application of these within a Trust like CUH
