Permanent Class 1 Driver Role

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 driver to join our team at Wincanton, a leading supply chain partner for British businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver caged or palletised goods to RDC's or stores in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure paperwork is signed and any agreed waste or cages are collected and returned.
  • Adhere to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
  • Secure loads to ensure products are safely transported and minimize the risk of damage.
  • Provide excellent customer service and take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Be aware of vehicle defects and report them to the Transport Office as necessary.
  • Attend essential training to maintain professional competence standards.
  • Support the Transport Office as required.
Requirements:
  • A valid HGV Class 1 licence.
  • A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card).
  • A Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on your licence.
  • Recent 2 years Class 1 driving experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
