Senior Project Manager - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at Henderson Scott, supporting a Service Excellence project team with a public sector client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects focused on delivering service improvements and operational excellence across the organisation.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks, ensuring reporting structures, risk management, and project documentation are consistently maintained.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to embed continuous improvement practices and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Project Objectives:

  • Using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage project timelines, adapting to evolving priorities and ensuring the effective delivery of outcomes.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, priorities, and timelines, managing expectations throughout the project life cycle.
  • Overseeing multiple workstreams at different stages of delivery, coordinating efforts to ensure deadlines are met and project goals are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager, ideally within public sector transformation or service delivery programmes.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects and deliver measurable improvements in Service Excellence.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, while maintaining focus on key project milestones.
