Warehouse Forklift Operative Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Forklift Operative to join our team on a temp to perm basis. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, and will be paid £14.42 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with 80% warehouse and 20% counterbalance operations.
  • Receive stock on trailers and tip pallets safely, moving goods to designated areas.
  • Perform manual handling, occasionally lifting between 60-70 kg.
  • Scan all goods and manually label with location and route number.
  • Load goods onto trailers.
  • Separate goods into different depot locations, ensuring accuracy.
  • Work quickly and concisely.
  • Break down returned pallets and assess goods.
  • Work independently and manage working area.
  • Check the quality and accuracy of goods delivered against purchase orders.
  • Report if goods are damaged or when discrepancies have occurred.
  • Pick, pack, and label goods accurately from order documentation.
  • Follow all training and guidance provided, maintaining health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • In-date counterbalance license.
  • Happy to do heavy lifting.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Experience with warehouse and FLT.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good listener.
  • Hard working.
