Cyber Security Trainee Placement Programme

Program Overview

The Cyber Security Trainee Placement Programme is a comprehensive training and placement programme designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the IT industry, specifically in the field of cybersecurity. This programme is ideal for those looking to transition into a career in IT or cybersecurity, or for those who are new to the industry and want to gain industry-recognized certifications.

Program Structure

  1. Accredited Online Training: Participants will undergo a selection of professional, accredited, and industry-recognized courses from CompTIA, the global leader in IT Technician, Networking, and Cybersecurity training. The training will be delivered via multimedia-rich video tutorials, practice labs, presentations, and quizzes through a portal that can be studied from home. Participants will also be assigned an expert tutor and a support mentor to help them throughout their training.
  2. Practical Training: Participants will gain practical experience by using practice labs, which enable them to practice and master what they have learned. Gaining practical hands-on experience gives participants the confidence to be proficient in their first IT role. This combination of theoretical and practical skills is what line managers need participants to have to be effective and confident in their role.
  3. Official Exams: Participants will then go on to sit the CompTIA A+ and the CompTIA Network+ exams to gain official certifications that are recognized not only in the UK but worldwide. The CompTIA A+ is the most asked-for certificate for entry-level IT roles, and the certification most IT Managers start their own careers with. All PCs in a professional environment are networked to servers, cloud-based, or otherwise, and the Network+ gives participants a needed foundation level of knowledge in networking.
  4. IT Technician Placement: ITonlinelearning will work with participants to secure their first role as an IT Technician. Ideally, participants will need to gain two years' experience in this role before they can progress into a cybersecurity role. While working as an IT Technician, ITonlinelearning will release participants' second batch of training, which is specifically designed to qualify them to move into the cybersecurity field. This official, accredited training consists of online training, practical training, and an official exam (CompTIA Security+). Further, ITonlinelearning can tailor the package to include courses like the Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Network Defender, depending on participants' requirements and future direction.

Cybersecurity Role

Once participants have completed all the mandatory training in step four and have gained two plus years' experience in the IT industry, they will be ready to move into higher-paying cybersecurity roles.
