Technical Coordinator - South East London

Skilled Careers Ltd is seeking a proficient Technical Coordinator to support a prominent residential developer/contractor in South East London. This role involves overseeing a significant residential project and assisting the senior management team with daily operations from a technical perspective. The coordinator will collaborate with production and commercial teams to ensure the project adheres to budgetary and timeline constraints.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Take a leading role in project management and support daily operations.
  • Review and process architectural and engineering plans.
  • Ensure comprehensive verification and coordination of all project documentation.
  • Disseminate drawings and information for construction purposes, adhering to established protocols.
  • Coordinate inquiries and applications with statutory service providers and local authorities.
  • Engage with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
  • Assist in maintaining updated procedures concerning Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and verify brochure plans while managing brochure divergence tracking.
  • Facilitate internal communication with Planning, Commercial, Construction, and Sales teams.
  • Develop and monitor technical specifications.
  • Prepare and distribute specific site documentation and Q&A Sales/Legal notes for Sales launch preparations.
  • Manage customer change procedures and liaise with relevant consultants to ensure completion aligns with the construction schedule.
  • Participate in site/project meetings as necessary.
  • Update and distribute drawing trackers to ensure timely information delivery in accordance with build schedules.

Technical Skills Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a technical role within a residential development environment, focusing on both low and high-rise mixed-use projects or within an architectural/engineering practice.
  • A degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Proficient understanding of Building Regulations and current legislation relevant to residential and commercial development.
  • Computer literate with strong numerical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a design team and manage internal personnel effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on building robust relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A keen eye for detail and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Focus on product quality, design feasibility, and cost-effective solutions.
  • A motivated individual with a proactive attitude, dedicated to achieving both personal and team objectives.
