We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections and servicing of machinery to prevent breakdowns and secure optimum performance.
- Update and keep accurate maintenance records.
- Respond promptly to any machinery breakdowns, diagnosing faults and conducting repairs to minimise downtime.
- Communicate effectively with the operations team to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to augment equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments in project work aimed at optimising operational processes.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe working environment by abiding by industry best practices and standards in maintenance operations.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A degree in an engineering field or a recognised engineering qualification (HND/HNC/BTEC or equivalent) in a pertinent field.
- OR: Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
- AND:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of CAD software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of PLC systems and other control systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Awareness of Health and Safety Regulations
Working Hours
- This role necessitates flexibility to cover a shift pattern spanning 24 hours.
- Availability at weekends and public holidays is required.
