Job Description

We're seeking a Senior Construction Consultant to join our team in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering CDM and H&S consultancy services to existing and new clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand clients' needs and proactively identify solutions to their challenges
  • Ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting clients' needs and expectations
  • Develop existing systems and processes to improve CDM and H&S efficiency
  • Provide expert advice and act as Principal Designer, helping clients manage and understand their legal responsibilities
  • Establish positive relations with clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate
  • Represent Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients in a timely manner
  • Manage all commissions, ensuring clients' expectations and Turner & Townsend's business management system are effectively discharged
  • Carry out H&S performance reviews, audits, and other tasks on behalf of clients
  • Liaise with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness and support others as needed
  • Compile and create relevant pre-construction information and H&S files

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills to generate reports and documents
  • Solutions-driven

  • Excellent client empathy
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within the construction industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations
  • Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors, with a proven ability to meet clients' needs
  • Experience as a Principal Designer

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Full UK driving licence
  • NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent)
  • GradIOSH or equivalent
  • Membership of the APS
