Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Medical Editor who is committed to ensuring precision and clarity in scientific communications. As a Senior Medical Editor, you will play a pivotal role in our accomplished editing team, delivering high-caliber scientific content across various platforms. Your responsibilities will include guaranteeing that all scientific materials are accurate, clear, and aligned with client goals and brand guidelines. You will champion excellence in quality and accuracy while enhancing our editorial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread scientific documents across a variety of formats, including show files for advisory boards, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, and video subtitles.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all scientific content adheres to client objectives and brand standards.
- Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior editorial team members.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance editorial decisions.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Medical Editor within an agency context.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating your proficiency in editing and proofreading scientific content across various channels.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively while delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Capacity to critically evaluate content to ensure excellence in accuracy, interpretation, visual presentation, and compliance with copyright regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, adaptability to client and team needs, and the ability to respond swiftly to challenges.
- A solid understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities present in the healthcare sector.
