We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team at White Horse Bar & Restaurant in East Runton. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our chefs and cooks have a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dishwashing: Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized efficiently.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying bins, and cleaning work surfaces.
  • Assisting Kitchen Staff: Support chefs and cooks by completing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables, chopping ingredients, and portioning food items.
  • Stock Management: Help with the receiving, storage, and rotation of kitchen supplies, including dry goods, perishables, and cleaning supplies.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards set by the restaurant and relevant regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
