Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Alecto Recruitment is representing an industry leader in Fixed Gas Detection, seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join their team in Woking.

The company provides a one-stop shop for the design, manufacture, testing, supply, installation, commissioning, and servicing of fixed continuous gas detection equipment and environmental monitoring systems.

Job Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist will provide first-line technical support to engineers and clients, resolving technical issues on Fixed Gas Detection Systems. The role will involve a mix of workshop and field-based site investigation work, offering technical support to the service engineer team, while also assisting the workshop manager with the build, testing, and calibration of new systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support to engineers and clients, resolving technical issues on Fixed Gas Detection Systems.
  • Working on after-sales support services and providing technical backup as required.
  • Workshop duties including the building, testing, and calibration of new systems.
  • Service and repair of Fixed Gas Detection systems sent back to the workshop.
  • Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales and service team.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Workshop Technician or Field Service Engineer.
  • Good knowledge of Fixed Gas detection or instrumentation equipment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • CSCS health and safety card (candidates will be considered without, on the basis the company would send you on course immediately).
