Kitchen Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Lodge at Glendorn. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our main kitchen dish area and other Food and Beverage kitchen prep areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware, and glassware in accordance with our standard operating procedures.
- Sort and prioritize soiled ware for efficient washing and sanitizing.
- Assist in food preparation and storage as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Report any accidents, illnesses, or incidents to management immediately.
- Participate in emergency situations and adhere to our emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with culinary staff to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the Lodge.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
