Fantastic Opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading specialist manufacturer. With over 50 years of experience in the industry, this award-winning organization is known for its excellent track record.

We are looking for a driven and motivated engineer who is confident in their electrical abilities and has a strong background in fault-finding. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be proficient in AC & DC Drives, installation, wire testing, panel building, and instrumentation.

The ideal candidate will also have experience with Siemens PLC's and be able to program them. Planned preventive maintenance, routine servicing and inspection of production machinery, and essential testing of equipment and systems are also key responsibilities of this role.

We are looking for an Apprentice-trained Maintenance Electrician who holds a formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3. The successful candidate will also have experience with ATEX equipment and a 70/30 split of electrical and mechanical requirements.

Shift Pattern:

Days - Monday to Friday, 7:30am till 4pm, with an early finish on Fridays. A call-out system is in place, and the successful candidate will be required to work a 1 in 5 call-out system.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong fault-finding abilities
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with AC & DC Drives, installation, wire testing, panel building, and instrumentation
  • Experience with Siemens PLC's and programming
  • Planned preventive maintenance
  • Routine servicing and inspection of production machinery
  • Essential testing of equipment and systems
