Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Telecommunications Specialist to join our team at Equans. As a key member of our Network & Telecoms Team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality network services and ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs, planned installations, and maintenance work on the Station Telecoms & IT Network.
  • Effect repairs to the Network as required.
  • Complete new installation works, complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary, and mark up any drawing alterations.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with published procedures.
  • Complete all Task/Risk Assessment sheets relating to work.
  • Ensure provision of networked infrastructure services meet international compliance, integrity, security, and availability standards.
  • Liaise with the Help Desk with respect to resolving problems within defined service levels.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of a broad spectrum of Telecommunication systems.
  • Understanding of Network principles and topologies (LAN/WAN), data communication protocols, network operating platforms with respect to the Station and organisational standards.
  • Must have been a registered apprentice or undergone some equivalent method of training.
  • Practical training in the Networks & Telecoms Technical Discipline.

Training and Development:

  • Equans Manual Handling (Mandatory).
  • EDF – Fire Prevention (Mandatory).

Accountabilities and Key Performance Indicators:

  • Work schedules and projects are prioritised appropriately and delivered on time.
  • Compliant with all safety-related policies and procedures.
  • Appropriate risk assessments undertaken on all work.
  • Delivers/Contributes to pre-job briefs, exchanging ideas and putting forward suggestions to improve team performance.
