Job Description Summary

SAP Finance Consultant accountable for implementing technical changes to the SAP system based on business requirements to ensure compliance with all financial and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical SAP support, advice, and guidance to the finance team on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Financial Planning & Analysis.
  2. Be the focal point for all aspects of SoX and other Financial Audit related activities from an SAP Wales perspective.
  3. Identify opportunities to eliminate waste, simplify processes, and implement fixes within SAP FICO.
  4. Provide various data extracts and artifacts from SAP to the auditors on a need basis.
  5. Deliver projects on time and on budget.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with substantial technical experience in the SAP Finance Module.
  2. Experience in implementing technical requirements in SAP through working with ABAP teams for any customization efforts.
  3. Experience with user access, roles, and responsibilities management in SAP FI.
  4. Prior experience of working with auditors internal at advanced levels and external on SAP financial controls, best practices, and implementation of such controls.
  5. Strong project management skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Desired Characteristics
  1. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA etc.).
  2. Knowledge of best practice governance, risk management, and compliance in a large enterprise.
  3. Experience with IT Governance, IT Risk, IT Audit, IT Operations, or related fields.
