Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Practice Nurse to join our team at Defence Medical Services. As a key member of our primary healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing expert clinical advice and support.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide primary healthcare nursing services, including elements of occupational health. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, providing expert clinical advice and support, and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist primary healthcare nursing services, including elements of occupational health.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including history taking, physical assessment, and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and support to patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current, unrestricted registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
  • Professional and specialist knowledge in primary healthcare acquired through postgraduate degree or diploma, or actively working towards this.
  • Experience in history taking, physical assessment, and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
