A prominent Export organization is looking for a skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to become part of a small and welcoming team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, unpacking, and verifying goods in the warehouse
  • Packaging or repackaging items into export cartons
  • Coordinating the dispatch of goods to the port with the necessary documentation attached, ensuring proper shipping marks are applied
  • Reviewing all purchase orders and order confirmations from factories against the relevant paperwork
  • Communicating with factories and clients to guarantee the seamless execution of export orders
  • Verifying supplier invoices and organizing them in a filing system
  • Entering order confirmations
  • Checking proforma invoices for advance payments to suppliers and forwarding them to the accounts department for processing
  • Arranging for goods to be collected from factories or coordinating with freight forwarders
  • Preparing export shipping invoices and packing lists, as well as obtaining all other necessary shipping documents such as certificates of origin or bills of lading
  • Managing the banking of shipping documents
  • Interfacing with insurance companies in the event of a claim
  • Engaging with international agents, customers, and suppliers via phone or email to ensure the efficient handling of customer orders
  • Preparing the correct documentation in accordance with letters of credit
  • Organizing and preparing all letters and parcels for dispatch via postal services and coordinating courier shipments
  • Conducting meetings with various suppliers and customers in the office as needed, and potentially visiting different companies during the workday if required

Previous experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable Shipping or Logistics role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
