Project Manager - Rail Sector

Actemium, part of VINCI Energies, is a leading international Electrical Services organization with a global turnover of €2 billion. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to support our ongoing rail sector growth plan.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the project from conception to completion, including project identification, tendering, realization, costs, invoicing, and final acceptance. They will oversee the successful delivery of projects to scope, target cost, quality, programme, and completion, encompassing design, engineering, construction, handover, and commercial aspects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify projects and tenders, and develop project plans and schedules.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Implement a full risk and value engineering management process to identify and mitigate risks, and to identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure that project imperatives are clearly communicated and understood throughout the project and to others, as appropriate.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the projects and tenders in terms of financial performance, deadline compliance, and technical performance of the work.
  • Manage the procurement and purchases for their projects, and ensure that contract document control is maintained.
  • Participate in the preparation of the Business Unit's annual budget, Shared Strategic Plan (SSP), and their own commercial action plan for their client base/sector.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are recorded, and corrective action is taken.
Requirements
  • Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Electrical engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • JIB Supervisor/Contractors status with equivalent technical discipline and experience.
  • Personal Track Safety accreditation (PTS).
  • Has experience in working within the UK rail environment.
  • SMSTS accreditation.
  • Experienced in the Design of Low Voltage & Data Network installation in industrial environment.
  • Experienced in site surveys resulting in modifications to existing equipment.
  • Proven experience of working with and managing contracts within a traditional construction project.
  • Understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance and experience in assessing value or evaluating variations of works undertaken.
