About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHSFT. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adults with acquired communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Speech and Language Therapy assessment, differential diagnosis, and treatment for adults with acquired communication disorders across acute wards and stroke services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Conduct videofluoroscopy assessments and develop skills in assessing dysphagia under supervision.
  • Work with stroke patients in acute, outpatient, and community settings to promote optimal communication and swallowing outcomes.
Requirements
  • Recognized degree in Speech and Language Therapy as recognized by RCLST and HCPC.
  • Membership of RCLST and current Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Experience working with adults with acquired communication difficulties and evidence of effective working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to assess and manage adults with a range of communication disorders, prioritize and manage a clinical caseload, and work independently.
