About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team at AECOM. As a Principal EIA Consultant, you will play a key role in managing environmental inputs to large-scale development projects, working closely with technical experts and clients to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage environmental inputs to EIA screening and scoping reports, environmental assessments, and supporting documents.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, ensuring compliance with relevant consenting regimes.
  • Lead collaborative teams, coordinating inputs from technical specialists and working closely with clients to deliver bespoke advice.
  • Project management skills, including programming, staff resource, and budget management.
  • Develop and lead business development opportunities, promoting AECOM's environmental services to internal and external audiences.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably a Masters degree) and an appropriate professional membership (Chartered Environmentalists preferred).
  • Comprehensive EIA consultancy experience, with proven skills in managing the preparation of environmental reports and technical review of specialist chapters.
  • A detailed understanding of relevant consenting regimes.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and internal teams.
  • A commitment to innovation and continuing professional development.
