About the Role:

EPC Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Turn Machinist to join our client's manufacturing team in Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC Mill-Turn machines on different equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to enable programming, setting, and manufacture of products.
  • Creating layout sheets to document tooling, tools, set-ups, and machine parameters for repeatable results.
  • Working independently to achieve exceptional high standards and deadlines.
  • Qualifying and documenting own work using various measuring equipment.
  • Supporting and training others as needed.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized workplace, adhering to PPE guidelines.
  • Continuously improving processes and providing time/cost-saving ideas to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Time-served apprenticeship preferred but not necessary.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience programming and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Proficiency in advanced Fanuc (ISO) and experience with Doosan, Matsuura, and Mazak machines.
  • Overhead crane training and manual handling experience beneficial but not essential.
  • Good communication skills and a reliable, positive attitude.
  • Focus on quality and productivity.
  • Able to adapt to an ever-changing business environment.
  • Strong work ethic.
