We are in search of a seasoned Senior Consultant with expertise in aquatic ecology, particularly in fisheries, to enhance our Ecology division within the Water Practice.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert guidance on fisheries-related assessments throughout all phases of projects.
  • Collaborate with specialists in ecology and hydrology/water quality to evaluate the effects of environmental alterations on fish habitats and behaviors.
  • Guide and nurture the development of the Ecology team.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in ecology or a related discipline, coupled with experience in commercial consultancy.
  • Full Membership of CIEEM.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation and proficient survey methodologies.

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to collaborate effectively within teams and engage stakeholders.
  • Act as a representative for clients to various stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered status with a relevant professional institution.
  • Experience in providing technical guidance for major infrastructure initiatives.
