Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician to join our team at Manpower UK - RISE. As an Electrical Support Specialist, you will provide critical electrical support to our assembly lines and vehicle confirmation team, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on luxury performance cars, including removal and re-fitting of interior/exterior trim.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to re-test and verify electrical systems, minimizing rework time and costs.
  • Interpret diagnostic equipment output to optimize electrical system performance.
  • Record and report electrical faults to relevant areas of production and engineering.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and suppliers regarding electrical issues.
  • Work on download stations, adhering to process instructions and meeting takt times.
  • Verify vehicle specifications conform to build requirements and customer options using relevant documentation.
  • Store controlled substances and components safely in designated locations.
  • Support quality, productivity, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to company safety, housekeeping, and discipline standards.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an automotive apprenticeship (City & Guilds Level 3+ or equivalent) is essential.
  • Specialized knowledge of auto electrics, harness manufacture, and electronic module experience (diagnostics) is necessary.
  • A knowledge of automotive electrical architecture and VCATS would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work to Aston Martin build standards, including interior and exterior trim.
  • Manual dexterity, mechanical, and quality aptitude.
  • Able to train others on process and job role requirements.
  • Can-do attitude, determination to see tasks through to completion at the right quality level.
  • Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
  • Accountable and demonstrates initiative.
  • Reliable and efficient.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work to engineering circuit drawings/process sheets.
  • This role requires standing for the entirety of the shift.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime, weekends to achieve production targets.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to support and work in other areas as necessary.

Working Hours:

Double days, Monday to Thursday 6am-2pm, Friday 6am-12pm. Monday to Thursday 2pm-1am. Shifts may vary depending on business needs.
