Job Summary

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly qualified Academic Faculty Member to join our Department of Computer Science and Technology. As a Research and Teaching Expert in Human-Computer Interaction, you will contribute to advancing our curriculum and teaching in interaction design and theoretical fundamentals of HCI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Human-Computer Interaction, including interaction design and theoretical fundamentals of HCI.
  • Conduct innovative research in Human-Computer Interaction, with a focus on bridging technical practices and interdisciplinary methods and theories.
  • Supervise research at Masters and PhD level, providing guidance and support to students.
  • Contribute to the development of new graduate research content within the MPhil in Advanced Computer Science (ACS) program.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to advance curriculum and teaching in Human-Computer Interaction.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field, such as Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong research profile in Human-Computer Interaction, with a focus on bridging technical practices and interdisciplinary methods and theories.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills, with experience in delivering undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Ability to supervise research at Masters and PhD level.
  • Strong commitment to the University of Cambridge's values and mission.
