A world-leading manufacturer of advanced metal forgings is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their talented design & industrial team in the central belt of Scotland.

About the Role
  • Play a pivotal role in creating high-performance forged components for global markets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for tooling and product development.
  • Lead efforts to identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance quality and performance.
  • Ensure all projects meet strict customer expectations regarding quality and delivery timelines.
Requirements
  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in design, ideally within the aerospace, energy, defence, oil & gas, or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Proven experience in metal forming, forging tool and die design, with solid knowledge of related processes.
  • Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software, especially ProE/Creo, with experience in numerical analysis techniques (Forge2011 or similar).
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, and experience with software like MiniTab and Power BI would be advantageous.
