Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to support our Primary and Secondary Special Educational Needs Schools in and around the Addlestone, Weybridge and Chertsey areas.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those who are looking to gain experience in this field.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teaching staff to provide support to children with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons, including setting up equipment and materials.
  • Support children with SEN during lessons, providing one-to-one support and assistance as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and teaching staff to ensure that the needs of children with SEN are met.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (ideal but not essential).
  • A positive attitude, good work ethic, and calm and patient nature.
  • Ability to use own initiative and get involved in lessons and activities.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Kind and caring towards children of all needs and abilities.
  • Happy to take on training and development opportunities.
  • Hold a valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
