Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our team at GE Aviation. As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to support our Industrial Rotating Stabiliser (RS) Systems. Your role will involve troubleshooting, creating technical reports, and providing expert advice on technical aspects of upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with customers and field service engineers to resolve customer issues, which may involve modifications to software and hardware.
  2. Carry out analysis of diagnostic files, collaborate with team members and engineering/development teams to resolve complex issues.
  3. Work on customer site, on occasion.
  4. Identify opportunities to improve the reliability and stability of the RS systems.
  5. Work closely with sales teams to advise on technical aspects of bids for upgrades or new systems.
  6. Drive improvements in products, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. A relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, or significant experience in an electrical or industrial engineering environment.
  2. Several years of exposure working with industrial control systems, including design, installation, and/or maintenance.
  3. Good understanding of variable frequency drives and experience analyzing diagnostic files.
  4. Experience of programming PLCs and HMIs for the purpose of controlling the RS system.
  5. Possession of or ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
