Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Law Solicitor to join our Family Law team in Derby. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing family law cases, including divorce, financial settlements, and private law Children Act matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage family law cases: You will be responsible for managing a caseload of family law cases, including divorce, financial settlements, prenuptial agreements, cohabitation disputes, and private law Children Act matters.
- Negotiate and draft legal documents: You will negotiate and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including court documents and agreements.
- Support clients: You will provide emotional support to clients during disputes and represent their interests in court when negotiations fail to resolve disputes.
- Meet financial targets: You will be responsible for meeting financial targets and upholding regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: You must be a qualified Solicitor or hold a full CILEx qualification.
- Experience: You must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in family law, including advocacy and direct client contact and advice in all aspects of private Family Law.
- Skills: You must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Membership: Membership of Resolution is preferred, but not essential.
