About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pastoral Interventions Practitioner to join our innovative special school in Swindon. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, communication, and interaction difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and record pastoral interventions to support students' mental health and well-being
  • Provide early help and safeguarding support to identified students, ensuring their needs are met and their safety is prioritized
  • Ensure adequate staff supervision for lunchtime clubs and activities, promoting a positive and inclusive environment
  • Support classes and raise student attendance as needed, working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Train staff in strategies for emotional regulation and social interaction, promoting a culture of mutual respect and understanding
  • Assist in analyzing pastoral data to identify support needs, informing targeted interventions and improving student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records related to behavior, safeguarding, and pastoral support, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Promote clear communication between wings, pastoral team, and mental health first aiders, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
