Role Overview:

As a skilled Process Engineering Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the design and enhancement of hydraulic and process systems integral to our operations. Collaborating with the engineering design team, you will assess asset conditions and devise solutions that adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design of projects ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget compliance, while collaborating with the Asset Design Team and stakeholders.
  2. Foster strong relationships with design teams to instill confidence in our engineering solutions, emphasizing sustainability and carbon reduction aligned with our corporate vision.
  3. Engage in ongoing professional development and training, maintaining regular communication with management regarding performance and growth.
  4. Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring all designs meet regulatory requirements.
  5. Conduct thorough reviews of technical proposals and third-party designs, providing expert guidance and mentorship to the Asset Design Team.
  6. Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators for the Asset Strategy, ensuring effective collaboration with various internal teams.
  7. Participate in monthly reporting and performance reviews.
  8. Build strong working relationships across departments to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.
  9. Perform additional duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Collaboration:

You will work closely with internal teams such as Asset Strategy, Capital Delivery, and Operations, as well as external partners including engineering consultants and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant field.
  • Chartered Engineer or actively pursuing professional membership.
  • Extensive experience in project management and capital project design within the water sector.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to evaluate long-term costs and present viable solutions.
  • Proficient in collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams while ensuring service delivery.
  • Adept at meeting tight deadlines in a regulated environment.
