About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to work on In Service Support Projects / Spares, reporting directly to the ISS Delivery Manager. The successful candidate will support the ISS Technical Manager and ISS Project Managers in ensuring the product is delivered to the specification of the Product/Project.
Key Responsibilities- Manage design improvement/obsolescence activities relating to assigned projects, providing technical guidance in line with the Product Specification to engineering resources.
- Define the content of standard project documentation (technical, operation, maintenance manual etc.)
- Report on the technical content of the project to the ISS Technical Manager and ISS Project Managers.
- Identify technical risks to the ISS Technical Manager and ISS Project Managers and work on appropriate strategies for risk management.
- Provide technical support for the ISS Technical Manager and ISS Project Managers in customer communications during project delivery.
- Track activities to project plans and budgets, regularly reporting to the ISS Delivery Manager, ISS Technical Manager, and ISS Project Managers on progress as required.
- Raise purchase requisitions for all project materials.
- Provide technical support for procurement, production, and quality throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely response to action items.
- Liaison with Production team, lead issue resolution, report progress to ISS Technical Manager and ISS Project Managers during build/manufacturing phases.
- Provide support to SQE and Quality team as required to resolve quality issues, including raising formal requests, fault finding, and test support.
- Support engineering design as required by the project.
- Lead testing and commissioning of equipment working with Test Technicians and Commissioning Engineers as required by the project.
- Ensure project activities are delivered as defined by the project manager, including ensuring design reviews are held, FMEAs are conducted, and appropriate test plans are in place.
- HND or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering or related subject.
- Experience of working in a Mechanical/Systems engineering environment.
- Experience of working on multiple projects.
- Practical competence in mechanical/systems assembly.
