Job Description

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be tasked with the following:

  1. Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet expected OTIF delivery, quality, cost, HSE, and applicable regulations, industrial standards, and customer requirements.
  2. Monitor supplier KPI performance and take actions to secure continuous compliance and lead on supplier improvement activities, including putting development plans in place.
  3. Manage supplier quality performance issues, serve as the liaison between suppliers and the businesses Quality & Engineering team. Initiate and see through the resolving of supplier nonconformance issues including supplier quality plan engagement/effectiveness, and corrective & preventative action closure.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Supplier Quality Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the Industrial / Manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, FAI, PPAP, FMEA, root cause analysis, 8D, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of business management system, ERP & Microsoft Office PC skills.
  • Ability to present data effectively.
