Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our agile team, you will play a major role in developing data-driven applications that transform the way brands and retailers assess their supply chains and drive improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, robust, and scalable web applications and event-driven applications using ReactJS and Apache Kafka, working across the full stack from an end-to-end perspective on cloud platforms.
  • Take leadership in designing and developing applications on defined requirements and standards (engineering, QA, and DevOps) to ensure projects are completed on time and of high quality.
  • Write and run unit test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
  • Attend all Scrum events and collaborate with the team globally to ensure seamless project execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on web development.
  • Hands-on experience in web Front End development with React JS, and knowledge of pure HTML5/CSS/JS design.
  • Hands-on experience in web Back End development with, with an added advantage of familiarity with the Ruby on Rails framework.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful services and API design, and a solid understanding of web stacks.
  • Solid experience in working with SQL databases, preferably with Postgres, including configuring database instances for read/write performance and creating high-performant queries.
  • Ability to design and implement data models (database schemas) and data pipelines to support business processes.
  • Ability to implement automated unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
  • Experience of working as a part of a Scrum team, actively participating in all Scrum events.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
