HGV Class 1 Transport Operators Needed

Logistics People is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Transport Operators to join our team on a flexible, temporary basis. This role involves working with one of the leading companies in the logistics sector, utilizing state-of-the-art vehicles to ensure a premium driving experience.


Experience Requirements:

Applicants must possess a minimum of 12 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.

Milton Keynes


Working Hours:

Flexible, temporary shifts available.


Compensation:
  • Weekday Day Shifts: £16.81 per hour (including holiday pay)
  • Weekday Night Shifts: £17.93 per hour (including holiday pay)
  • Weekend Day and Night Shifts: £19.05 per hour (including holiday pay)
  • Sunday Shifts: £20.17 per hour (including holiday pay)

Role Overview:

As a Transport Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Transporting temperature-sensitive goods in refrigerated trailers.
  • Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues to maintain vehicle safety.
  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and complying with all legal and company policies.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence with at least 12 months of driving experience.
  • Have no more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR code convictions.
  • Possess a current DCPC and Tacho cards.
  • Be knowledgeable about Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
  • Be capable of performing necessary vehicle checks and reporting defects accurately.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and comply with on-site health and safety regulations.
