Job Description:

Vuba is a leading manufacturer of high-quality products, operating across the UK and internationally. We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to join our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and transportation functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain compliance with company and statutory requirements regarding Operator License, H&S, service quality, drivers' hours, and tacho regulations.
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements and 'O' License requirements.
  • Support new business initiatives and projects, contributing to review meetings and change processes.
  • Establish and maintain an expansive communication network with national, international, and local logistics providers.
  • Preserve excellent internal communication for processing and dispatch of finished products to ensure delivery targets are met.
  • Manage and coordinate routes with company drivers.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure coherence.
  • Manage the company's Pallet-Networks and Sub-Contractors, negotiating rates when required.

Requirements:

  • Background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
  • Ability to use own initiative and propose improvements.
  • Qualification in Logistics and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience of operating in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
  • CPC Essential.
