About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemotherapy Staff Nurse to join our Oncology Unit at Nuffield Health Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor and assess patients during and after chemotherapy sessions, identifying any potential issues and taking prompt action to address them.
  • Collaborate with oncologists and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Educate patients and their families on chemotherapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care measures, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
Requirements
  • Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC) and possessing relevant qualifications and post-registration experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
