We are seeking an experienced and skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Biomedical Scientist, you will play a key role in the running of our Haematology & Coagulation service at Colchester Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the Coagulation and Haematology section, ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including the ACL TOP and Sysmex XN analysers.
- Monitor quality control performance and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Manage stock control and ordering of reagents and materials.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and staff competency logs.
- Deputise for the Haematology Lead in their absence.
- Oversee the raising of purchase orders and receipting invoices.
