Job Summary:
Osborne Richardson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Engineering Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the effective management of maintenance and engineering contracts across our housing stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance and engineering contracts to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and statutory legislation.
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of maintenance and engineering services, including planned maintenance, inspections, and installations of equipment and services.
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance on maintenance and engineering matters to internal stakeholders.
- Act as lead professional for inspections, design, and building contract procurement of works for maintenance and engineering services.
- Manage and coordinate cyclical maintenance and improvement projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality services and competitive pricing.
- Monitor and report on maintenance and engineering performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical works, with a strong understanding of maintenance and engineering principles.
- Excellent technical knowledge of building services, including lifts, door entry systems, alarm call systems, fire safety equipment, and communal heating and hot water systems.
- Strong project management skills, with experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
