Electrical Engineering Trainer Assessor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineering Trainer Assessor to join our dynamic team at Wigan & Leigh College. As a key member of our power industry sector team, you will play a vital role in supporting apprentices and contributing to the development of our apprenticeship standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out workplace assessments and reviews to support apprentices in achieving their professional standards at Levels 2-5.
  • Set actions and prepare apprentices for end-point assessment.
  • Conduct Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) duties within the team.
  • Develop and enhance the College's offer of apprenticeship standards in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies.

Requirements:

  • Relevant electrical engineering and power qualifications/experience.
  • Hold (or be working towards) a recognised assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent).
  • Understanding of all aspects of workplace assessment.
