Our innovative corner technology facilitates a uniquely flat and modular chassis, accommodating mission-specific electric vehicles ranging from class 1 to class 6, tailored for both commercial applications and passenger transport.
We are in search of a Program Manager to bolster REE's swift expansion and developmental initiatives on a global scale. This pivotal role will report directly to the Programs Lead.
The Program Manager will play an essential role in steering the effective management of assigned programs with a focus on ensuring seamless launches. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all program activities and crafting a unified plan that aligns with the company's key priorities. This entails fostering internal collaboration among REE's various departments and partners while upholding REE's commitment to organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate Program Management strategies, methodologies, and tools/processes that promote a "Non-Event Launch" approach.
- Oversee, guide, and assess programs to ensure they are executed and delivered in accordance with established scope and plans.
- Adapt to a dynamic, "start-up" environment by developing flexible plans that accommodate uncertainty while emphasizing critical paths; monitor and report on program progress.
- Facilitate and lead both internal and external meetings as necessary, which may cover technical discussions, program planning, escalations, and more.
- Establish and evaluate program performance metrics, including launch readiness indicators.
- Initiate and cultivate new cross-company processes to drive continuous improvement; lead reviews of program lessons learned.
- Identify resource requirements to achieve objectives and coordinate efforts across teams.
- Provide regular program status updates that detail deliverables, challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct briefings and technical meetings for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee all assigned projects within the organizational unit.
- Guide the organization to meet critical timelines and assist in resolving complex technical or operational challenges.
- Manage budget development and execution.
Team Leadership
Promote REE's Culture of Organizational Excellence in all activities.
Set goals and objectives for the department, including mentoring and training to lead and develop both new and existing team members.
Conduct performance evaluations for all direct reports to assess their effectiveness in fulfilling their roles.
Initiate Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aimed at achieving strategic growth and world-class performance.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of REE. As a dynamic startup, responsibilities may vary significantly, which is one of the advantages of our environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (master's preferred) or a related technical field, or completion of a vocational program with relevant experience.
- Three to five years of experience in the automotive industry, with a proven track record of relevant expertise.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Electric Vehicle ecosystem.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings or CAD models.
- Strong business acumen in fast-growing organizations and best practices.
- Creative problem-solver capable of developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Team-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in common workplace software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment, with a history of contributing to the growth of new businesses in a startup or rapidly expanding technology company.
- Experience in national and international roles is preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, familiar with various methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of inspection tools.
- Strong motivation to support the company's mission is essential for success.
- Willingness to travel globally.
