An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Food Safety Compliance Lead at our Avonmouth facility. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, managing, and ensuring compliance with all aspects of food safety and legal standards for both our brand and private label customers.
A significant aspect of this position involves collaborating with the technical manager and site teams to enhance and develop site systems, ensuring the effective operation of a top-tier food manufacturing facility aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the site adheres to company, retailer, industry, operational, and legal standards.
- Provide technical assistance to various site functions and the broader organization.
- Oversee complaint investigations, identify root causes, and implement timely corrective and preventive measures.
- Manage the internal audit program to foster compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as an approachable and proactive member of the Site Management Team, offering expertise on technical, food safety, compliance, and quality issues while contributing to wider business initiatives.
- Develop and implement food safety and quality training programs.
- Investigate food safety, compliance, and quality concerns, identifying root causes and executing preventive actions.
- Provide trend analysis and reports on key quality and safety indicators, implementing strategies for ongoing enhancement.
We seek an individual with genuine leadership capabilities who can take ownership of this critical function within Hovis. Your positivity, encouragement, and consistency will guide team members towards achieving specific tasks and behaviors.
Qualifications:
- Third Level Qualification in a relevant Food Science or Technology discipline.
- Experience in Food Safety Management.
- Food Hygiene Level 4 certification.
- HACCP Level 3 certification.
- Experience in training delivery.
