Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Our client, a world-renowned Construction and Industrial machinery company, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to provide onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the Berkshire region. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating, diagnosing, and resolving technical problems with equipment, as well as providing excellent customer service and developing good working relationships with internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and diagnose technical problems with equipment
  • Provide onsite customer support to our range of machinery
  • Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
  • Request parts efficiently and effectively
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Supervise Apprentices, when required, to ensure a high quality of work and safe working procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
  • Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  • Presentation of a professional image at all times
  • Taking responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues, and customers

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role or industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment
