About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at Sanctuary Supported Living. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support services to our customers, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on support to customers, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Encourage customers to develop daily living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Support customers in building their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
  • Work collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure customers receive the best possible support
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for customers, adhering to relevant regulations and procedures
Requirements
  • A caring and approachable nature, with a confident 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, families, and internal and external agencies
  • Experience of working as a member of a team, with a positive and accepting approach to customers with diverse needs
  • Level 2 NVQ Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards
