Nursery Manager Opportunity

Mama Bear's Day Nursery Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional care and education to children from 3 months old to 4 years of age.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the nursery, ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of the children, and promoting good practice among staff. They will also be responsible for financial management, staff deployment, and ensuring compliance with statutory legislations and frameworks.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing an exceptional standard of care and education, and who is committed to supporting the development of our staff and children.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Management of the nursery and the overall care and education for the children in the setting.
  2. Conducting meetings with staff members, and ensuring effective staff deployment.
  3. Ensuring that the safeguarding and welfare of the children is always paramount in the nursery, ensuring overall compliance with statutory legislations and frameworks.
  4. Assume responsibility for the daily operation of the nursery with agreed plans and budgets and that the nursery target occupancy levels are met.
  5. Financial management with responsibilities for monitoring and reporting own budget, income expenditure, forecast budget and occupancy.
  6. Supporting the care and education of the children in the nursery within a key person structure, promoting good practice and being a role model for other staff and children.
