Job Summary:

Argyll & Bute Council is seeking a skilled Driver to join our team in the Helensburgh area. As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Deliver goods and services to various locations within the Helensburgh area.
  • Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained and report any issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg).

Working Hours:

The successful candidate will be required to work a standard 37-hour week, Monday to Friday. The working hours will be divided into two weeks, with Week 1 consisting of Monday to Thursday (06:00 - 14:00) and Friday (06:00 - 13:30), and Week 2 consisting of Monday to Thursday (14:00 - 22:00) and Friday (14:00 - 21:30).
