Facilities Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at STERIS. As a key member of our sterile processing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant and machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Oversee the work of contract and service engineers to ensure high-quality results.
- Conduct weekly tests to maintain sterilizers and washers in accordance with CFPP regulations.
- Inform the National Maintenance Manager of any changes in machine cycle profile and resulting maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all machinery is serviced before quarterly and annual validation.
- Facilitate the scheduling of yearly validation of plant equipment.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment meet Medical Devices Directive requirements.
- Maintain validation and calibration certification for MDD registration.
- Manage spare parts and tools inventory and advise the National Maintenance Manager on stock replenishment.
- Perform other PPM weekly maintenance and inspections as scheduled.
- Participate in an on-call rota.
Requirements
- Apprentice-trained engineer or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in facilities or manufacturing engineering.
- Mechanical or electrical training/qualification.
- Full UK driving license with no more than 3 points.
