Are you a skilled and empathetic Surgical Care Nurse seeking a new opportunity in a vibrant city? Our esteemed healthcare organization is on the lookout for a Surgical Care Nurse to join a premier facility specializing in eye health. This role offers a competitive compensation package, reflective of your expertise and experience.
This is a full-time position with a favorable work-life balance, featuring a schedule of 4 days a week from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, primarily Monday through Friday, with the possibility of an occasional Saturday shift as part of your weekly rotation. The clinic operates from 7 AM to 7 PM, allowing for slight variations in daily hours.
You will be part of a cutting-edge clinic, leveraging advanced technologies to assist surgeons and the broader healthcare team in executing a variety of eye care procedures in the operating room. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that all team members perform at their best to maintain the smooth operation of the facility.
The Surgical Care Nurse will be instrumental in delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting pre and post-operative assessments and supporting specialized procedures in the operating room.
To be considered for this Surgical Care Nurse role, you must hold a valid nursing registration (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) certification. Previous experience in a surgical setting is advantageous, particularly in ophthalmology.

  • Oversee the daily management of all surgical equipment.
  • Facilitate the admission and discharge processes for patients on surgical days.
  • Comply with clinical governance principles and relevant regulatory guidelines.
