About the Role
Riverside is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices and make payments to contractors and suppliers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Utilize Kontrolla and COMPLEAT and OPEN processing to resolve issues and queries in line with agreed policies and procedures.
- Provide clear and supportive advice to suppliers and colleagues on Accounts Payable policies and procedures.
- Maintain and review system records to ensure accurate data is held and purchase order and invoice issues are investigated and resolved in line with agreed procedures and service level agreements.
- Reconcile supplier statements with internal system records and identify and resolve discrepancies where possible.
- Develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective processing of invoices and timely payments are progressed.
- Manage specific suppliers to ensure invoices are produced accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to financial controls and internal business processes to support Customer Services.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
- Respond flexibly to changes in work priorities and undertake other duties as required.
Requirements
- Experience of making customer payments within an accounts payable department.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of financial controls.
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Results focused with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
- Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements.
