Building Services Technician

Objective of the Role:
As a vital member of the Maintenance team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Hard Services within a corporate environment, while considering the needs of clients, staff, visitors, and other service providers.
Your role will involve executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), as well as Proactive and Reactive tasks related to all Electrical systems, adhering to established service levels.
You will work both independently and collaboratively to complete all maintenance and servicing duties. Participation in an on-call rota for emergency situations and flexibility for overtime work will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on all building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to meet and exceed service level agreements.
- Respond promptly to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
- Foster strong working relationships with all staff members, clients, and contractors.
- Complete and submit job sheets to maintain accurate records, ensuring all tasks are finished within agreed SLA times; seek assistance from Supervisors if necessary.
- Present a professional image to clients and visitors, ensuring excellence in customer service is consistently delivered.
- Assist engineering personnel with various tasks, which may include low-level fabric work, electrical or mechanical tasks, and basic plumbing duties.
- Participate in the call-out rota.
- Maintain awareness and compliance with contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Complete assigned tasks with a strong focus on health and safety protocols.
- Oversee and monitor the work of subcontractors while they are on-site.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Certifications from a recognized institution.
- Valid driving license.
- Experience in a corporate setting.
