Senior Flood Risk Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join our Water Environment team in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading flood risk assessments and hydrological and hydraulic modelling projects, while mentoring and developing junior consultants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead flood risk assessments and hydrological and hydraulic modelling projects
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants in the business
  • Develop relationships with clients and regulators
  • Manage project finances and prepare fee proposals
  • Work in a design office environment and participate in design and site meetings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Requirements:
  • Strong Bachelor's degree in a water-related subject and possibly a higher degree
  • Substantial experience in flood risk assessments and hydrological and hydraulic modelling
  • Good understanding of the Environment Agency and Lead Local Flood Authorities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current planning policies and procedures
  • High motivation for this opportunity
  • Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills
